Anaheim Conference: Osteopathy: A Global Presence

18 – 20 September 2016

Held in conjunction with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA – Full Member), the program expanded on four osteopathic pillars — Education, Regulation, Research, and Association Leadership/Membership — while also looking at the future of the global osteopathic profession. The OIA program featured a diverse and dynamic group of speakers and moderators to focus on the state of osteopathic medicine and osteopathy in various countries while globally uniting osteopathic physicians and osteopaths.

We want to thank all members that attended our annual conference! A diverse and dynamic group of speakers and moderators helped deliver captivating content and render important decisions.

AGM and Board Transition

At our Anaheim AGM, the full membership voted to elect Mr. Charles Hunt to chair from his previous position as Vice-Chair. Dr. Alain Wurtz stepped down from the board for personal reasons and Dr. Frank Mueller was voted in as his successor. Jane Carreiro moved from her position as Chair to the position of Past Chair, in keeping with new regulations on board composition. All office terms are two years.

The membership also voted in amendments to bylaws. For more information, please see the bylaws here.
